Awareness Initiatives

Many of you have been interested in our magnets and have asked how to obtain them! First, all magnets have remained free in the past and are shipped by priority mail to you once our own shipments have come in - within 2-3 weeks order to delivery time. We have actually had 3 designed magnets with the most current one being redesigned to fit our logo, mission, and other material. Since Jan 15, 2006 over 72,450 magnets have been sent to people wishing to create awareness for dystonia. Magnets are easy to distribute and usable by anyone at any time.

If you’d like to participate in this venture, simply send us your address and the number of magnets you’d like sent to you directly. We are not charging anyone for shipping, handling, or other costs related to the production and distribution of these magnets. We have instituted a new policy for those requesting our printed materials and other supplies that benefit other organization fundraisers. Please see the new policy at the bottom of the page.

We applaud those of you already participating in this program. Most of all, the word about dystonia is “getting out there on a daily basis” with your help. Let’s make dystonia a household word together. We encourage each of you visiting our site to get involved. You matter - Your Dystonia matters.

Congratulations to Joan Serratelli of Villas, New Jersey for distributing 1,000 magnets, and Amelia in Michigan for distributing 2,000 magnets in 2006!

Congrats to Wendy Paul from Toronto in helping her son distribute 1,000 magnets at their local synagogue in 2007.

Congrats to Pauline in WA for distributing more than 3,500 magnets in the Northwest region in 2009.

Congratulations to others in Canada for participating in this program.  Awareness is not at a standstill. Join and make a difference! 1,000 magnets were delivered to South Africa alone! Remember that the magnets cost you nothing - no shipping,
handling or other costs are involved. C4D has taken on these financial costs. When requesting magnets , please include your address and the quantity that you would like shipped to you as soon as possible.

We have instituted a new policy as there have been local support groups requesting supplies (pens, pads, brochures, magnets, postcards etc.) from us to be utilized in fundraisers that benefit other dystonia-oriented organizations. We cannot continue giving out these materials for free if they are to be used in such a manner. With the economy as it it, we too, must remain on a tight budget. We hope that you understand our reasoning for this new policy.

If you wish to publicize C4D within your event, we kindly ask for a voluntary donation of $25.00 to cover printing costs and mailings to your support group for our brochures and copies of the book I’m Moving Two.
