Information about the side-effects and benefits of either Toxin can be found at www.BotoxMedical.com and www.myobloc.com. Side-effects are clearly reported for each toxin and have been substantiated by clinical research and data for years now. Reading the Public Citizens’ petition it is unclear who, or what instigated the call for this petition. Nor, is it clear how their data was obtained regarding side-effects as some of the side-effects do occur with other� disease states.� I think we need to be cautious in regards to the www.citizen.org report as it’s totally unclear how , from whom and where they got the data…so whether any of it is true or not remains to be seen. The take home message here is to simply be aware , be educated about your medications, regardless of type. The PR by Allergan says clearly what Botox is used for specifically. You also have to bear in mind the histories of the people in the Citizen group- not described.Thus, in actuality, there seems to be quite a bit of missing data regarding this petition. I have already written to www.citizens.org asking them about data and information sources re. the Petition. As said - if you have concerns, educate yourself, be aware, none of this means that you will acquire any side effects…Remember the source….a petition drive…a public policy drive. If you have questions about� either Toxin that you are receiving, please convey them to your movement disorder specialist. Both Solstice Neurosciences and Allergan have your best interests at hand when it comes to use of either of their Toxins. Rest Assured. Be Assured. Remain Assured.
