What is Dystonia?

We have redefined Dystonia as a brain disorder set apart from other disorders of the brain by the over-activity of a specific group of muscles and/or muscle such as a limb, facial area, arm, or vocal cords. It is the over-activity of these specific muscles that causes uncontrolled movements and tremors, persistent muscle tightening, and strange body poses. (Read more ... )
