Mr. Wolfe and Mr. Burgess join the company as shareholders. Joining them are Matt Fisher and Iain Staufferwho both join as lawyers, and Mysty Blagg summer. Bahati Mutisyawho join as associates.
Mr. Wolfe’s practice focuses on helping healthcare clients navigate ever-changing aspects of healthcare law and policy. He represents clients in a wide range of legal and regulatory actions, including Medicaid and Medicare program integrity actions, False Claims Act actions, terminations, denials, reviews post-payment, prepayment reviews, payment holds, and supply issues. He also represents vendors in cases before licensing boards and other regulatory bodies. Mr. Wolfe’s experience includes assisting clients in resolving disputes with state and federal government entities through administrative, state and federal litigation, and advocating on behalf of clients with government agencies and elected. He also provides legal and legislative advice to professional associations and regularly speaks at national and state conferences on legal and policy issues.

Mr. Burgess has over 35 years of experience advising healthcare clients on a wide range of regulatory, litigation, compliance and operational matters. He advises providers on legal issues that arise in hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, hospices, home care and other spheres of health care. He also represents ancillary vendors including pharmacy, durable medical equipment (DME) and therapy. His practice also includes advising clients on certificate of need, Medicare/Medicaid enrollment and licensure issues, quality of care issue appeals, and transactional matters. Mr. Burgess is a frequent national speaker and author of industry textbooks, national trade journal articles and similar training. Previously, he served as Senior Director of Legal Services and Facilities Operations for the American Health Care Association and General Counsel for the North Carolina Health Care Facilities Association (NCHCFA).
